(Vanda cristata 'Sentinel's Green Imp' x Ascocentrum curvifolium 'Luteum R.F. Orchids' CHM/AOS). Incorrectly labeled as Orange Imp in last price list. Very neat Sentinel cross. Compact plants produces masses of 1" orange flowers with red lips. Expected to be ideal for specimen culture. Plants are about 16" - 18" in height and are flowered. selected or are seedlings.

Catasetum Pink Lemonade 'JEM 2'. $60.00
(Ctsm. Rebecca Northen x Ctsm Fuchsii). Pendulous, sometimes branched inflorescences of 2 1/2" dusty pink flowers that can last for a month. Usually flowers in the Fall. Wonderful lemony fragrance. Varieties offered are exceptional and are vigorous attractive growers. I can see no difference between 'JEM' and 'JEM 2'.

Maxillaria Variabilis 'Midnight','Yellow'. $25.00
Great little bulbed plants. Easy to flower with ½” flowers. All flowering sized.


Miltonia spectabilis var. moreliana 'Sentinel'. $50.00
Warm growing Brazilain type. Fine selected variety with flat dark pnk sepals and pertals and impressive
dark purple lip. Very easy to groa and flower.

Oncidium maculatum 'Brown Bomber'. $75.00
Very unusual variety. Star shaped with solid brown sepals and petals and white lip. Flowers long lasting for type and very fragrant – vanilla and chocolate. Identified by Christenson as a form of maculata. I keep telling people to buy this as it is so unusual. Blooming sized plants.


Phalaenopsis Zuma's Pixie 'Sentinel'. $50.00
This is a real cute little guy. Selected 1” magenta flowers, yellow crest. Only one or two small plants.


Pleurothallis cardiothallis. $50.00
Mature plants about 16" in height with heart shaped leaves. May be a varietal on cardiothallis. ¾" orangy-red to red full flowers at leaf base. Flowers several times per year. Somewhat heat tolerant.


Polyrhizza (Polyradicion) lindenii. $40.00
Seedlings happily growing in their nests of Spanish Moss. About 3 – 4" in length. About two years from flowering. Likes mottled light and to be suspended. Requires the addition of horticultural limestone several times per year. Wet plant, dust with limestone, wash off after a minute or two. Sentinel was the initiator of this treatment and growing the plants in Spanish moss surrounds. Others will take credit, but the theories started here based on careful observation.


Polyrhizza (Polyradicion) funalis and fawcettii: $75.00 @ as keikis available. Fuller flowers. Generally KK's are flowering sized. Fast growing.Very limited. All plants still being identified.

Zygopetalum Kiwi Geyser 'Sentinel 1' $70.00
(Z. Warringal Wonder 'Jewel' x Z. B. G. White 'Stonehurst'). Medium-large plants with broad leaves. Sturdy grower Infloresences with flowers with beautiful green sepals and petals covered with dark brown spots. Broad white lip almost totally covered with dark amethyst lineation. Leaves almost totally without any spotting.

Zygopetalum Artur Elle 'Sentinel's Dark'. $70.00
(Z. Blackii x Z. B. G. White). Medium sized plants with clean growth habit. Dark brown sepals and petals with almost solid purple lip.

 

 

 

MINIATURES


 

Macroclinium (Notylia) xiphorous. $35.00
Plant fans to only 2" across that form clusters. Can only describe flowers as a cluster of pink mosquitoes. Neat. Rare. Easy to grow and flower. About 10 plants available, and do not have a source for additional plants. These plants have been grown in Sentinel collection for at least 6 years.

 

Neofinetia falcata. $12.00 - $35.00
These are selfings and siblings. All large flowered forms.

 

 

 

 

Equitant Oncidiums. $18.00 - $30.00 It is time that equitants made a come-back. Culturally misunderstood group. They like bright exposure with air movement. When the fans start to get purple color they are at optimum light. Reslab or repot every three years to avoid salt build-ups. They should only be moved starting in April when their roots are active. They like to be watered everyday in hot weather, but make sure they dry out by 3:00pm. Minimum night temperature is 60 degrees F. Feed lightly. If potted, put in very porous base like charcoal or large bark.

 

Onc. leiboldii album. $35.00
The rare album form of this species from Cuba. One inch fans - fast growing mounted on cork. Flowers white and green. Plant obtained from the Bill Osment collection in Hollywood, Florida.
Grows like crazy, but have not seen in flower yet.

Ornithocephalus
Very underrated minatures. Beautiful pendant succulent fans forming clusters. Munted on cork. Easy to grow in shady to mottled light. Produces myriads of upright inflorescences with helmut shaped green and white 1/4” flowers. All plants are well established and flowering sized.
