They are all vigorous growers and flower two to three times per year with up

Sc. Beaufort Hybrids
Sc. Beaufort is a hybrid of C. luteola and Soph. coccinea. There are many forms of Beaufort closely held and in the market. Some are likely tetraploids. The highest percentages of fine progeny have been attained by using tetraploid parents. Like other seedlings that we purchase, we try to grow them for at least a year prior to offering for sale. Compot seedlings take as much as two years before we offer for sale. Sentinel is very selective in maintaining the best growing seedlings and discarding the unhappy ones.
Slc.
Tiny Titan'Sentinel's Orange' AM/AOS
Slc. Tiny Titan.
$30.00. First blooming or unflowered.

seedlings of the exact remake have selected the best growers. There are about
30 unflowered plants available in 3" pots. One to four, 2 - 3" flat,
full or star shaped flowers per inflorescence in yellows, oranges and reds.
All with red lips with yellow centers. Flowers at least twice per year. All

quality.
Slc. Tiny Titan. Awarderd varieties. $100.00 - $350.00. Current

CULTURAL TIP: after growing these plants for over seven years, we think we have the system. Utilize relatively large sized mix with minimal fines. Always underpot plants in plastic pots. No drainage material needed. Water frequently and do not let dry out completely. Expose to relatively high light. Plants benefit from 20 degree day night temperature swings. Fertilize once per three or four waterings. Repot every year and a half, two years maximum.
Pot. Beaufort Gold.
$50.00
(Blc. Waikiki Gold x Sc. Beaufort 'Yellow Lip'). Blc. Waikiki Gold is underrated
as a parent. The first seedling to flower had four 3 1/2" peachy-orange flowers.
Selected varieties with yellows, peaches and oranges with excellent substance
and good to excellent form. 3 - 4" pots.
Pot. Paul Phelps 'Sentinel'.

Brassavola Section
Most growers are not familiar with the capabilities and qualities of these plants. Established nodosas can flower several times per year and they pass this characteristic to their hybrids. We have gravitated towards this group and acquired a large selection of fine species and hybrids. Most are very select and have proven their quality. Like the Broughtonias, they like a taste of lime water several times per year. Species nodosa's do not like to be disturbed and are slow to develop roots after repotting. However, once they start to fill a pot or basket, their output can be extraordinary.
Brassavola
nodosa
Lady of the Night. It is fortunate that Sentinel selected many of these nodosas
as many were destroyed in the 1992 Florida hurricane. Varieties offered are
all easy growing and blooming with either very large and/or exceptionally colored
flowers. Grown in baskets.

'Nicaragua' HCC/AOS. $150.00. Great variety. Division from
Bob Fuchs' personal plant.
'Susan Fuchs' FCC/AOS. Monster weed. 5" flowers. $50 -
$125.00
Brassavola Little
Stars 'Rene' CCM/AOS. $85.00.
This was awarded an 84 point CCM with about 300 flowers. Not just any flowers
– how about 4 – 5" across of fine form? It was getting to the
pont that I could not lift it, so I divided it. These divisions are now establishing
well and are off to their next CCM's of the future. Why waste time with mediocre
varieties?
Brassavola Hybrids in this group are totally underrated and often ignored by most Cattleya growers that are looking for big full flowers. What they do not see is the fast, strong multi-growth, multi-flowering capabilities, exceptionally bright and unusual combinations of colors, often with unusual spots. Any offered are very select and have proven their quality.
Bc.
Binosa 'Sentinel' HCC/AOS. $150.00
